“JUST ENOUGH TO GET BY”

Those were their heartfelt words, and it’s a testament to God’s goodness that he has given us life to be channels of his blessings. This is a family of friends we met in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro. During my time there, I saw and felt their struggles first hand.

They are living hand-to-mouth, barely making ends meet.
There are six families in that area, with many working hard from a young age to support their families. We were able to provide them with 12 kilos of rice (2 kilos per family) to help them get through the day. It’s heartbreaking to see such poverty, but it’s a reality for many. I always remind them to never stop trusting in God, no matter how difficult things get. Stay close to Him, and trust in his promise to provide for your needs, especially during times of hardship.

Thank you to my friend, whose generous heart is always open to helping with God’s work. The Lord will surely reward your kindness.
“Simple acts of kindness create a ripple effect,” so even the smallest gestures, done with a sincere heart, will be returned to you by God, overflowing with blessings.

MINISTERING AS JESUS MINISTERED, VOL. 1

The Lord has once again opened a door for us to reach out to those in need. We walked, we got tired, but it was all part of serving those who need help.

Our ministry brought joy to 25 Mangyan families from the Eraya tribe. We trekked up to their village, and you’ll see their living conditions in the video. We hope the 5 kilos of rice given to each family will bring some relief to their hunger, even if just for a few days. May God have mercy on their situation.

A huge thank you to the group of teachers who decided to bring their help to this village. Special thanks to Ma’am Lea Guaro Somoso and our dear Sangyaw Philippines partners, for making this all possible. It is a tremendous blessing for these families. More ministries with you, teachers! (Ralphella Lyka Clarisse Untalan, Ralph Medrano, Refani Marlyn Tacud, Jocelyn Batin, Rosette Santos Dela Cruz, Oscar Hisarza Halamani Jr., Sally Gado Hentapa, Jao Olarte)

For those who would like to be part of these ministries, please contact our Facebook page. We have much more to do, brothers and sisters, and we simply need to follow God’s will for our fellow human beings. As the Bible says,

Matthew 25:35-40: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”

Special thanks to Tribal Hills Mountain Resort for accommodating us and for your

services. God bless you guys!

BJMP Bayawan Meets Sangyaw Philippines: Sharing Hope and Guidance

Today, we’re excited to share that our team met with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Bayawan, Negros Oriental. This facility houses 299 inmates, according to the administrative records. Our team delivered books that will not only bless them but also guide them towards true freedom.

Many inmates are seeking the path to genuine happiness, and our goal was to place these precious books directly into their hands. While we hoped to deliver them personally, the management allowed only recognized individuals to do so. However, they were happy to distribute the books on our behalf, as you can see in the photo.

We delivered 150 copies of Steps to Christ (in Cebuano), 7 copies of The Great Controversy (also in Cebuano), and 200 copies of a pamphlet on Sabbath Rest (in Cebuano). We also provided 50 tubes of toothpaste and 50 bars of Silka papaya soap. The administrative staff also received copies of the materials.

Our prayers are that these inmates discover the secret to true happiness and find the path to true freedom. May these books be the very means to convict them and lead them to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.

We extend our gratitude to Janice Valdez for making this activity possible, and to Bro. Edwin Pantallano’s group (Impact Team) for their tireless efforts in the Lord’s work. Thank you to Pastor Gilbert Punay Alajid for his unwavering support. We also offer our sincere thanks to the BJMP Bayawan District Jail for accommodating us and treating us with such respect. May God be with you all!

To our dear Sangyaw Partners, we are truly blessed to have you in this ministry. God will bless you as you allow him to bless others. Stay faithful until Jesus comes!

Making a Meaningful Impact

Another successful outreach was carried out at Bahay Kalinga, Alapan 2-B, alongside the dedicated members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Together, we visited the children under the care of CSWD in Imus, Cavite.

Bahay Kalinga serves as a chosen sanctuary by our esteemed partners for regular outreach activities, underscoring their commitment to caring for those in dire need. During this event, we distributed essential items, including 50 food packs for a hearty lunch, 10 bars of soap, 10 toothbrushes, 10 tubes of toothpaste, 10 packets of Quaker oats, and 10 servings of a healthy drink.

Our program was not just another routine activity; it was infused with an abundance of love and compassion. The extraordinary outcome bore witness to the profound impact of delivering messages with genuine care. A touching moment arose when we had the privilege to offer a prayer for an individual at the shelter who celebrated his birthday on the day of our visit.

“May the blessings of God continue to abundantly shower upon you, my dear friend.”
Gratitude is the best attitude. Thank you to all our sponsors and partners for making our outreach event at Bahay Kalinga a success! Together, we are making a difference in the community.

Empowering Women at the DSWD Women’s Development Center

The DSWD Women’s Shelter, located in Bayan Luma VII, Imus, Cavite, became the heart of our outreach on September 7, 2024. Led by Pastor Janno Tachado , a group of believers from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Happy Homes, came together to share a message of hope and empowerment.

They taught uplifting songs that encouraged resilience, demonstrating how to face life’s challenges even when they seem insurmountable. It was heartwarming to witness the residents learn these songs filled with hope.

With the guidance of our dedicated social worker, Ma’am @Lalyn Lagata, this outreach activity was a resounding success. We distributed simple gifts for the children, including writing notebooks, composition notebooks, adult diapers, paper pads (crosswise, intermediate, lengthwise), colored paper, glue, first-aid kits, crayons, pens, pencils, rulers, toys, hygiene kits, biscuits, and a white blouse for one child.

We also donated 10 volumes of “My Bible Friends” and 4 volumes of “Best Stories” and 22 volumes of “Steps to Christ” providing valuable lessons that these children can learn and apply to their lives as they grow.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our cherished sponsors who continue to tirelessly partner with us in all our community initiatives. May our Lord shower you with blessings, and may you continue to be richly blessed by Him.

To all our friends who wish to partner with us in our mission, please don’t hesitate to send us a message so we can serve you. Let’s continue to join hands in our future outreach endeavors. God bless you all.
