From Small Beginnings to Community Impact: Faith Built a Church That Shaped My Life

My inspiration as a young Adventist all started way before I was even born. In a small city of Mendez, Cavite is a family that was converted to becoming an Adventist through a crusade that was held in that small town. That family didn’t have much especially when it comes to the financial aspect but their hearts were strong as ever to remain faithful and trust in the Lord that He will provide. They had no church to go to nearby, so they decided to conduct it in their small house with their siblings, children. As the years go by, there were bible students and some other friends of their children that are constantly attending Sabbath worships in their house and they felt the need to build a church. They decided to solicit funds from different churches and neighboring places through songs and words of inspiration. Until finally they collected enough funds to buy a land in Mendez and build a church there and until now is located in Asis III, Mendez, Cavite.

Just this November 11, 2024 Mendez SDA Church celebrated their 30th Church Anniversary and had grew into a big congregation just like how my grandparents had wanted it to be. If it weren’t because of this church that God had built through my grandparents, I wouldn’t have been exposed into practicing my faith and mission in this world. I have been to so many places around the world, but my home church will always be the biggest part of my heart. Because of this church, I got to explore conducting a choir for the youth and not only had helped them into being more active inside the church, but it also had helped greatly in my spiritual life to trust more in God and His leading because His ways are always higher than mine.

This story is an introduction into showing you how God has worked in me and my family’s lives. You can expect more stories about how my community have empowered me and the moments I have shared that power to transform the lives of others. Stick around for the best is yet to be shared. Let’s connect again in the next post!

Yours truly,
